1. Before being used.
    
    

2. Remove the cap and be prepared for medications by pushing the plunger forward to eject air.
   
    

3. Insert the needle into the medication vial, then pull the plunger back to withdraw the medication for an injection.
    
    

4. After the injection, the plunger clicks an engagement with the needle coupler.
    
    

5. Turn the plunger 30 degree clockwise, and then pull it backward.
    
    

6. The needle now leans against the barrel.
    
    

7. Push the plunger forward, and the needle coils itself.
   
    

8. Finally, the needle is destroyed and contained inside the barrel.
